The client purchased various adjoining ‘back gardens’ with the intention of developing the site for much needed student housing. The site was overlooked on all sides and the design needed to respect the privacy of all neighbouring properties. The resultant design was a carefully considered building with a highly articulated facade and mass to ensure it would be acceptable. The scheme contained 55 student rooms arranged around into 8 social groupings each with their own communal living and kitchen facilities. Unfortunately this scheme was never submitted for planning.
